One of our favorite design challenges is lots that are considered “difficult.” With this cottage, we were working with a narrow lot, so we had to design a narrow house. The neighborhood is full of cottages so our clients wanted their house to look cottage-y with a lot of detail and a coastal influence – design details more prominent on the lower level and the bedrooms with shiplap siding.
